Woodbridge, NJ- A Community Committed to the Arts

You'll love the arts scene in Woodbridge! Conveniently  located in Central Jersey, the township is served by the NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, US 1 & 9, I287 and other major highways as well as three NJ Transit rail stations and NJ Transit bus routes. Come for music with world class artists presented by Music on Main Street, community concerts with the New Horizons Band,  and an assortment of  art and genres at the historic Barron Arts Center. Prefer the visual arts? Visit the Woodbridge Artisans Guild's (WAG) gallery, or an exhibition at the Barron Arts Center. Both  WAG and the Barron Arts Center also offer classes, while the Barron Arts Center also offers lectures. Sculpture and street art dot the township with plans for more to come.

If you're an artist of any type, perhaps you'll want to call Woodbridge home at the recently announced Avenel Arts Village. This development will turn a barren brownfield into artist housing, studios and retail space along with an arts center that will contain exhibition and performance space. Steps away from the Avenel train station, residents will find an easy commute to New York City, or quick trip to our sister arts community, Rahway, NJ.

Visit us during the summer for five nights a week of free outdoor concerts: Country Sundays, Oldies Mondays, Classic Rock Tuesdays, Woodbridge Wednesdays (eclectic), and Local Band Thursdays! The Woodbridge Community Youth Players present a musical every summer in the recently renovated Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School. Woodbridge is committed to the arts! Visit us soon and discover it for yourself!
