Alysha Brilla • July 5, 2023 • 7:30 PM • Free

ALYSHA BRILLA is a 3 time JUNO Award nominated composer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer and artist weaving together global roots sounds into healing music. The child of an Indo-Tanzanian musician, Brilla’s original music is a colorful tapestry. Themes of re-connection with ourselves, each other and the earth are woven into uplifting rhythms and soulful melodies.

In 2013, Alysha became one of the first self-produced female artists to receive a JUNO Award nomination. Since then, she has won Producer of The Year at the 2018 Independent Music Awards for her album "Rooted" with her music being featured in film, television and Spotify Editorial Playlists. In 2023, Alysha composed the original score for the TIFF Premiered feature film 'The Queen Of My Dreams'.

Opener  LOW LILY has shared their signature sound with enthusiastic audiences throughout North America and the UK, garnering two #1 songs on international folk radio and two Independent Music Award wins. In 2018, the band released a full-length album with 2X award-winning title track “10,000 Days Like These" and their original song “Hope Lingers On”, which has been sung by choirs around the world as an anthem for peace and justice.

With the release of their new record ‘Angels in the Wreckage’ (produced by Dirk Powell), the Vermont-based American Roots band LOW LILY brings their infectious sound to a new level. With the energy of fiddle music, the introspective quality of contemporary folk, the precision of bluegrass, and the drive of Americana, the members of Low Lily (Liz Simmons, Flynn Cohen, and Natalie Padilla) combine their individual talents into one stunning soundscape.
