Keeping a band together and continuing to grow is a difficult task, but Colebrook Road has done just that, staying true to their bluegrass vision for a decade and a half. After creating four studio albums, touring coast to coast, and surviving the crushing blow of the pandemic, the band seeks to find new audiences and make new music all the while remembering where they came from.With two albums in the top ten on the Billboard Music Chart in 2019 and 2021, a nomination for the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Band Award in 2020, and a radio chart topping single in 2019, the band has worked hard to gain national notoriety.
Based out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and comprised of lead singer, guitar picker and songwriter Jesse Eisenbise, upright bassist and tenor vocalist Jeff Campbell, mandolin player Wade Yankey, fiddle player, songwriter and baritone vocalist Joe McAnulty, and banjoist and bass vocalist Mark Rast, they continue to hone their skills through a strong connection of friendship and a love of all things music.
Fresh off a first place win at the 2023 Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival band competition, Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light have been captivating audiences throughout the northeast. With songs as sweet and biting as the nectar and venom in her voice, Sumner's lyric-forward writing and penchant for snaking chord progressions demand something far beyond folk conventions, highlighting the acrobatic range of her brilliant bandmates Kat Wallace (fiddle) and Mike Siegel (upright bass).
Sumner is no stranger to the stage. She spent her early career on the bluegrass circuit, singing and writing with the genre-bending roots group Twisted Pine. Since setting out on her own, Sumner's songs have been critically acclaimed: winning the 2021 John Lennon Award in the folk category for her song "Radium Girls (Curie Eleison);" earning a spot in the Kerrville New Folk Competition; and being chosen four consecutive years as one of the top Massachusetts entries in NPR’s Tiny Desk Competition.
Woodbridge Wednesdays is an eclectic free concert series sponsored by Woodbridge Township and generous local businesses.
Bring the whole family! Dogs on leash are welcome. All Woodbridge parks are smoke free. The park is barrier free for wheelchair users.
Free parking is available in the adjacent NJ Transit parking lots.
