The Weeklings, July 31, 2019 7:30 PM • Free

The Weeklings recreate the hits of the Beatles with infectious passion and enthusiasm, along with original tunes that are so Beatle-like, you’ll think they’re Beatle tunes that you somehow missed! As professional musicians that have appeared and collaborated with many high profile national artists, they bring a level of precision and authenticity rarely matched in any performance of 60’s rock and roll!

Glen Burtnik, best known as a former member of Styx, takes on the part of Paul McCartney. This is a role Glen is quite familiar with as he appeared as McCartney in the Broadway production of Beatlemania. He continues his love of The Beatles to this day alongside fellow bandmate Bob Burger, who co-wrote several songs with Burtnik for Styx and has about 40 published songs to his credit.

Southside Johnny’s own Joe Bellia was first drawn to the drums in February of 1964 while watching The Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. He has also toured with Dave Mason and played with Bruce Springsteen subbing for Bobby Bandiera.

John Merjave completes the quartet on bass with an impressive resume consisting of a national tour with Live and Let Die: A Symphonic Tribute to the Music of Paul McCartney, Beatlestock, Bubble Do Beatles and more. Needless to say, The Beatles are in their blood which is what makes The Weeklings rock!
