In addition to recording and touring the world with John Mayall since 2018, CAROLYN WONDERLAND has recently signed to Alligator Records and has been on the top of the Blues, Americana, and Alt Country charts, gathering critical acclaim for her Dave Alvin produced “Tempting Fate” album, released October 2021.

The depths of the Texas blues tradition with the wit of a poet. She hits the stage with an unmatched presence, a true legend in her time. The child of a singer in a band she began playing her mother’s vintage Martin guitar when other girls were dressing dolls. She’d gone from being the teenage toast of her hometown Houston to sleeping in her van in Austin amid heaps of critical acclaim for excellent recordings.

Rich, bluesy, raspy, lush-toned vocals…soulful, skillful guitar playing...down-and-dirty, gospel-infused [and] rollicking.~ Guitar World

In February of 2020, only days after tonight’s opener, MISS EMILY celebrated the Maple Blues triple crown of Female Vocalist, New Artist and Sapphire Blues Video of the year, the world shut down. “LIVE at the Isabel” was released on October 30, 2020 to rave reviews but due to the never-ending pandemic she couldn’t promote it with a tour.  On March 1st, 2022 Miss Emily, “LIVE at the Isabel” was nominated for the JUNO Blues Album of the Year.
